Wall security safes are designed to be built into a wall and can be hidden by wall coverings, art or photographic wall hangings. If they are not immediately visible then they are less likely to be attacked. A great way to keep valuables such as jewellery or cash secure at home. Our range of wall security safes offer various levels of security to meet your needs. Some are fully insurance approved with certified insurance ratings of £4000 or £6000. They are normally fitted into an exterior or solid wall where the safe displaces 2,3 or 4 bricks depending on the size of the safe and is then secured to surrounding bricks and then cement is used to further secure the safe ptior to the wall being finished off with some a scree of plaster.
The short answer is no, but they are not made of materials that would accelerate a fire. A small fire would probably not affect trhe safe, but in a real blaze where temperatures were dangerous the contents of the safe would be damaged. If fire resistance for paper documents is required then you should consider pirchasing a fireproof security safe or a fire document chest. Hidden wall safes are primarily designed to protect you cash and valuables from burglary and for this task they offer an excellent solution.
Wall security safes with electronic locks are available, but many brands are not that suitable if you want to hide the safe as the electronic digital keypad protrudes by at least 30mm, which makes it less easy to disguise.
