Floor Board Security Safes are installed between the joists in a wooden floor. Although they are not high security in design they can be disguised by covering with a carpet or rug. The Keysecure and Securikey floorboard boxes are fitted with an anti-pick 7 lever security lock and supplied with 2 keys as standard.
Floorboard safes are a simple way of protecting jewellery, cash and small valuables from the opportunistic burglar at a very small cost. They are easily fixed between your floor joists and hidden under your floorboards. There are 2 sizes of Keysecure floorboard safes (same length but a standard and a wider model) but both will be positioned between the joists when installing.
Floorboard safes are designed as a security safe with a secure 7 lever lock and by hiding the safe under floorboards you are adding to the security. Although the safe itself would not in anyway accelerate the fire it will not protect the contents from heat damage. If fire resistance is important to you then please check out our fireproof document chests or fire safes where you can find tested and certified fire resistance for up to 2 hours.
Floorboard safes if found could be attacked and removed by a determined burglar, but first they have to find the safe! If you require even more security then look no further than our range of Floor Security Safes which are buried underground and secured with concrete. In addition Floor safes offer various grades of security distinguished by the Insurance cash rating suggested by the manufacturer. These insurance ratings begin at £4000 and rise up to £35,000 such as the Hydan Platinum Floor Safe model and each increase in cash rating offers more sophisticated increased security and with a choice of Key, mechanical dial combination or digital electronic locks
