How do I keep the mirror clean?

The products and method used for cleaning your mirror will depend on which mirror face you purchase:<

  • Acrylic, Polymer or Polycarbonate Faced Mirrors – Clean with soap and water, and then with a soft, lint-free, damp cloth. Use a non-abrasive polish. Do not use abrasives, acids or solvents such as petrol or lacquer thinners.
  • Stainless Steel Faced Mirrors – Clean with soap and water, and then with a soft, lint-free, damp cloth. Use a non-abrasive substance to polish to its original brilliance.

Are convex blind spot mirrors, when used on public roads, subject to a British Standard?

At present there is no official standard for Convex traffic mirrors in the UK. The only regulations are to do with consent if the blind spot convex mirror is to be sited either on a neighbour’s land or on the highway.
