Indoor safety convex mirrors

Indoor convex surveillance mirrors offer a wider angle view that conventional flat mirrors to assist in reducing theft in retail shops and stores as well as improving safety in public buildings. The convex face is manufactured from acrylic, polymer or polycarbonate and is cut from a complete sphere to ensure a convex wide angle view. Each mirror is fitted with an adjustable wall arm bracket to allow fine tuning of the position.

Convex wide angle mirrors

Some people get confused between Concave and Convex mnirrors. Basically concave mirrors are used to magnify the image viewed such as with a cosmetic make-up mirror while a Convex offers a much wider angle of view and at the same time the object in view appears further away. So Convex mirrors are ideal in offerring extra security in retail shops and improved safety in public buildings such as hospitals and schools by opening up blind corners, corridors and exits.

Large indoor surveillance mirrors

Convex mirrors offer a wide angle of view for safety and security, but if you require an extra wide angle in order to view a larger area then you will require a diameter of 70cm or larger. We offer indoor convex mirrors with diameters up to 90cm or rectangular mirrors up to 100W x 80H cm which offers a really good viewpoint for up to 30 metres. These are ideal for supermarkets and department stores. The rectangular mirror design does not offer such a wide angle of view, but there is very little distortion.
