Chubbsafes DataPlus+ Tape and Media Fire Safes - The Chubbsafes DataPlus range of 2 Hour Fire Data Safes offer the ultimate resistance from the effects of fire, smoke, explosion or theft for Data Media. Chubbsafes DataPlus safes are tested to the extreme and have passed the following International standards - EN-1047-1 and UL 72 Class 125 for Fire protection plus EN14450 S2 for burglary protection. In addition the range has been certified by AIS - The Association of Insurance Surveyors. There 5 models with a choice of key or electronic locking and with a wide range of internal fittings to accommodate all types of Data Media such as DLT tapes, LTO tapes, CD/DVD, DAT tapes, Optical Discs and Zip drives.
The Chubbsafes DataPlus offers the ultimate defence against fire and heat damage to vital Tape and Digital Media. It has been fully tested in the most severe test EN1047-1, in a furnace, for over 2 hours and it still kept the internal temperature below 52º C - the temperature where tape media will be severely damaged. A standard 2 hour fire safe will NOT do this - they protect only paper.
